Mothers Empowering Mothers
Saskatoon's Postpartum Peer Support Group
Mothers Empowering Mothers is a collective of passionate community members that was started in 2017. It was created to serve women at risk of perinatal mood disorders.
Provide accessible, peer to peer, and practical in-home support to women throughout their parenting journey.
Every mother who needs support receives adequate and timely support.
MEM is here to bring community support back to mothers and families. We offer a variety of supports, depending on funding, and help connect you to additional services that you may need.
Supports and Services include:
Monthly Postpartum Peer Support Groups
Certified Doulas Support
Certified Lactation Support
Certified Babywearing Educators
Mothers Empowering Mothers would like every mother who needs support to receive it. When funding is available, mothers may apply to have all or a portion of the support and services costs covered when they need.
Disclaimer; Mothers Empowering Mothers volunteers are not medical professionals, and do not take the place of medical personnel and do not give medical advice. We offer strictly peer support. Our volunteers who identify a mental health or medical emergency will follow their training and connect you to appropriate emergency and crisis services.
